Kraków is regarded ad the 'cultural capital' of Poland, and was its historical capital during its formative years in the Middle Ages. Today Kraków is one of the largest tourism centers in Europe. The historical center is filled with old churches and many monuments, the largest European medieval market-place, and plenty of magical pubs and cafes; all attract millions of visitors from around the world each year.

Travel to Kraków
By plane: Balice Airport (also known as John Paul II International Airport) is the second biggest airport in Poland. It has with frequent domestic and international flights to many partsof the world including the united states Europe and parts of Africa.

By train: Dworzec Glowny PKP is the central station in Kraków, and is located just outside of the Old Town. It is connected to other cities in Poland and the rest of Europe. International trains arrive daily from Hamburg, Berlin, Leipzig, Prague, Budapest, Bucharest, Bratislava, Kosice, Lviv, Kiev, and Odessa with connections to the rest of Europe.

By car: The Autostrada A4 runs from the German border (Where it meets the Autobahn A4) to Kraków. the Ai connects Kraków to Warsaw.

By bus: There are Europe-wide coach services operating into Kraków. However, it is generally cheaper, quicker and much more comfortable to fly.
